The other day it occurred to me that my mom was about my age when she started her great migration indoors; I remember she had already started coming down with a case of the shutins by the time I was in highschool. I've known for sometime that this was a possibility for me, that if I wasn't careful I'd wake up one day to realize that my world had collapsed around me, shrunken to the size of just four walls. As the years have passed, I've watched my desire to be outside dwindle to almost nothing.
