Important information: back during the fall of '24, I decided to buy enough yarn to knit a pair of socks for everyone I love. Spoiler alert: not nan nary a sock was gifted out that year. The yarn was added to the ever growing art supply inventory and left untouched until the summer of '26. So why did I go into my closet and select a perfectly good sweater to gut for sock yarn; well obviously because I'm ridiculous, but I had my reasons. 1. The sweater was itchy. 2. I wanted to experiment with a different fiber blend for the socks that I give away, that and I'm on a bit of a spending freeze. I need to clear out said supply inventory, as it's gotten a bit out of hand. Anyway, these are the socks upcycled from a sweater given to me by a friend, I'm still trying to decide if I want to dye them.
The third pair of socks I made this summer was for my Grandma's birthday; she was said she was excited to pair them with her "comfy flannels" that happened to be in a matching color palette. Unfortunately, these came out so nicely that I now have no choice but to unravel the first two pairs I made, to make an even better pair of pink socks, but first I want to finish my upcyle project.
Back at the end of July, I put together a fit and thought this would be super cute with some pink socks; thus the winter crafts began early. Funny enough, I aint really been out the house like that since xD but I still enjoy seeing my little pink socks bip bopping around the house.
